I want to share three strategies that you can implement right now to get a high achievers mindset so you can take your business to the next level.
It took me years to use these mindset strategies. The biggest problem was not learning them as much as it was taking action on them. It was when I was struggling that I decided to try them out.
((Listen to the Podcast below))
#1 Knowing Your End Goal
So the very first mindset strategy is you need to have the end goal in mind. What is your goal? What are you setting out to accomplish?
For example, for my business, the end goal is I want a thousand-acre ranch. I want a nonprofit that helps out the kids in the Smoky Mountains of the Philippines.
In the Smoky Mountains, there’s a huge city dump. The garbage has been piling up so much that it is mountains of waste.
There is so much methane gas from the composition down below that it seeps up, and it hovers over these mountains to where it looks like the Smoky Mountains.
Although it’s not nice, fluffy clouds like in Tennessee, it’s methane gas. And people are living on these mountains, and most of them are young, homeless, orphaned children.
I mean, it’s heartbreaking. I was astonished when I heard about the number of kids there. It is like three million orphaned children in the Philippines living on these Smoky Mountains.
This is something that I’m trying to change. So for me, that’s my end goal. And the thing is, all the steps to get me to that place are hard. They take a lot of time.
Of course, they’re not always fun either. But if I have the end goal in mind, every time that voice comes up like you could be doing something else, the mindset is focusing on that end goal.
The voice is going to help me do the things that I don’t want to do. Having that end in mind is one of the keys to having and keeping high achievers’ mindset.
#2 Celebrate Your Wins
This mindset strategy is pretty cool but might feel a little awkward. Because if you’re anything like me, you don’t like sharing on social media.
I’m not the type of person that wants attention on me. When I make something about myself, I tend to feel weird.
How Do You Celebrate Your Wins?
To celebrate your wins, you will need to share them with other people.
- Get on the phone
- Hit someone up on messenger
- Write an email
You will need to do something to connect with another human being and share your win. Sure, you could share a post on social media, but I like the personal engagement more.
When you share wins with others, it creates an added boost of motivation to continue to drive even harder.
You are not selfish when sharing your wins. Not only is it helping you, but it also helps the person you tell. It builds up their motivation too.
And if you can inspire somebody to get in action, not only are you helping that person, but the connection between you and them is going to be so tight because you touched, moved, and inspired them.
#3 Focus on Growth Not Speed
Finally, the third mindset of high achievers is to focus on growth rather than speed. If you’re focused on speed, you’re going to cut corners and do things inefficiently and ineffectively.
Because of this, you will make mistakes that you will have to go back and fix again. So trying to go quickly is going to create more headaches and more problems.
You should start small. Think about the things you need to implement in your business to be successful. Are you practicing those daily to get better and make it a habit?
It is easy to quantify your goals in business. For example, instead of starting with a hundred new customers a month, go for one new customer a month. Then build up to two, then three, then ten, etc. You just need to be growing.
Don’t get impatient. Impatience usually stems from fear. Fear will always cause you to make the wrong decisions, not just in your business but in your life as well.
Instead, take a step back, take a deep breath, knowing things don’t always happen as fast as we want and be OK with that and just focus on growth.
