Brain versus heart

Today I want you to pretend your brain and your soul are two different entities. What exactly do I mean by this? When faced with decisions I want you to acknowledge what your brain is telling you to do vs what your heart tells you to do.

So many times we think with our heads when our heart is trying to lead us the right way.

Most of us have been taught to “use our brain”. Fewer people in our lives advise us to “follow your heart”. Yet, have you ever considered how the information gets to our brain? How does it get to our heart?

Our thoughts are created by our egos trying to keep us alive and avoid embarrassment at any cost because “embarrassing things and failures will kill us”. NOT TRUE. Our thoughts have been influenced by outside sources too… parents, teachers, media, etc. Whether we interpreted this input correctly or not is one thing, another issue is that we may have had other peoples’ fears placed upon us.

The question I want you to look at today is: Are your thoughts serving you?
